Canada's Agri-Food Immigration Pilot Program
Canada’s Agri-Food Pilot provides an immigration pathway towards permanent residency for the eligible individuals. The eligibility criteria contains very specific skills criteria.

Eligibility

Work Experience
To be considered, applicants must meet Canadian work experience requirements. This consists of a minimum of 1 year of full-time employment in the past 3 years in one or more eligible occupations listed under a set of eligible industries. Applicants with work experience from the Temporary Foreign Worker Program may also be eligible.

Offer of Employment
Individuals must also have an active offer of full time, permanent, and non-seasonal employment in one of the occupations listed under that set of eligible industries. The eligible industries are categorized using the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). Included among them are agriculture, forestry, fishing, and hunting.

Language Proficiency
Proof of language testing in either French or English must be provided along with an application. Applicants must meet the Level 4 standard in the Canadian Language Benchmarks in reading, writing, speaking, and listening capacities. Language test results must be less than 2 years old at the time of application.

Education
Applicants must possess a Canadian high school diploma or an educational credential assessment (ECA) report from an appointed organization demonstrating that a foreign credential at a minimal level of secondary school or above has been completed. The ECA report must have been issued within 5 years of the date of the application.

Proof of Funds
All candidates must possess sufficient funds to settle in Canada. Proof that you have enough money for yourself, and if applicable your family, will need to be provided. Applicants that are currently working in Canada with a valid work permit at the time of applying are exempt from this requirement.
